Ella is also a CEO and co-founder of a bio-tech startup Arlabion developing a new generation agrochemicals for crop protection.

Currently, Catherine acts as business developer at EIT Raw Materials, taking care of various aspects related to Business Creation and Support, such as call for proposals, boot camp training on entrepreneurship. Nazlim Bagcivan is currently director of the Coating Center at Schaeffler AG headquarter in Herzogenaurach, Germany. His responsibilities cover the Schaeffler-wide development of new coating technologies including coating materials and processes, the introduction of new coating technologies into serial applications, the Schaeffler-wide supervision of serial coating processes and technical qualification of all coating suppliers. Prior to joining Schaeffler in 2014 he was senior engineer and deputy head of Surface Engineering Institute (IOT) at RWTH Aachen University. His R&D-work was focused on thin film technologies and thermal spraying for corrosion protection and tribology in components and tools for various applications. He received his doctorate in surface engineering from RWTH Aachen University in 2008and his diploma in mechanical engineering and aeronautics and space engineering from RWTH Aachen Universityin 2003. He has more than 150 publications and holds several patents. He served as reviewer for many scientific journals and was involved in the organization committees of international conferences. He gives lectures at RWTH Aachen University in “Coating Technology for Mobility Applications”. He is the Regional Secretary in Germany of Taiwan Association for Coating and Thin Film Technology (TACT).He is member of the board of the European Society for Thin Films (EFDS) and head of the scientific advisory board of EFDS. He is member of the industrial advisory board of the Cluster of Excellence „Integrative Production Technology for High-Wage Countries“ at RWTH Aachen University in Germany.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Tim Hosenfeldt studied Production Technology at the University Bremen. Afterwards he worked as research engineer at the IWT-Stiftung Institut for Werkstofftechnik, Bremen in the fields of materials science.
After completing his doctorate in engineering at the University of Bremen in 2000, he joined Schaeffler Group in Herzogenaurach. He builds up coating and surface technology from research to worldwide production and was Vice President Surface Technology from 2011 until 2015.
Until 2015 Prof. Hosenfeldt is Senior Vice President Technology Strategy and Innovation at Schaeffler AG and is responsible for Corporate Innovation, Innovation Network and Application Oriented Research, Corporate Venturing, Innovation Projects for new products, markets and business models and Surface Technology.
Until 2018 Prof. Hosenfeldt is founder and CEO of the Schaeffler Bio-Hybrid GmbH for new mobility solutions. He is Honorary Professor at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, member of the managing board of German Association for Tribology and Member of the board of trustees at Fraunhofer Society and member of Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) committee “Industry and Research” as industry representative for Middle Franconia and Nuremberg.

Division Director at National Science Foundation.
He has investigated architectures and algorithms to ensure the safety of hardware/software systems, and he has developed methods for modeling, analyzing and predicting the safety of these systems. His expertise is in techniques for the design and analysis of safety-critical systems.
He has published more than 150 technical articles, and he is an inventor on 29 issued patents. Johnson acted as a consultant to more than a dozen companies and government agencies.
He brings an exceptional combination of experiences in engineering research, academic-industry partnerships, entrepreneurship and innovation.
